HEALTH, SAFETY AND NUTRITION

Head Start and Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Day Care Licensing require that all children have a yearly medical exam. When a child enters the program, they have thirty days to turn in a completely up-to-date medical exam.  A dental exam must be completed and turned in within forty-five days after entering the Head Start program.

Head Start follows the rules of the Child and Adult Care Food Program for preschool programs with children ages three to five years. Children receive snacks and lunch daily with milk being served with both.  No juice is served with any meals at Head Start as it has been proven to cause tooth decay because of the sugar content.  Please inform Head Start of any food allergy that your child has so that the proper meal modification can be made.

Please feel free to print a copy of the physical or dental form as needed.
